Dr. Terenzio Ignoni “Let the Data Lead the Way”

Share

Give him the data, give him the facts, and Dr. Terenzio Ignoni will run with them. As the SVP of Technical Operations, Terenzio is in charge of all things development operations at Gain Therapeutics. If that sounds like a lot of work, that’s because it is. Heading up the Quality and Chemistry, Manufacturing, and Controls, Preclinical and Clinical Operations departments requires a lot of data, a lot of detail, and a lot of interpretation. Lucky for Gain, Terenzio is up for the job.

With over 23 years of experience working in Big Pharma, Terenzio has seen it all. He has interacted heavily with the FDA and the EMA to push lifesaving drugs through to approvals. There has also been a fair amount of pushback and rejection in both preclinical and clinical stages of drug development. This might deter some, but tenacious personalities like Terenzio’s don’t go down without a fight. His cross-cultural life and work experiences have given him unique insight into both the personal and professional practices of companies across the East and West. Driven by data but fueled by acceptance of what is not in his control, Terenzio has been able to sift through the stipulations set by agencies to help deliver patients with unmet medical treatments they need: drugs that make a difference.

Stay tuned for the full-length interview in which Terenzio breaks down what it takes to interact with the FDA, the EMA, and similar agencies on a holistic level.
